In a closed hearing on Monday, Los Angeles judge Scott M. Gordon set a lengthy list of rules that parents Britney Spears and Kevin Federline must follow in order to retain custody of their sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. The list, revealed today, includes the following shared requirements for the former couple:
Neither Brit nor K-fed can take Sean and Jayden out of state without the written consent of the other.
The exes cannot make derogatory statements about each other.
Both parents must complete the “Parenting Without Conflict” program.
Each party is restrained from using corporal punishment with the children or allowing anyone else to.
They are required to engage in joint co-parenting counseling.
Neither party may consume alcohol or non-prescription controlled substances 12 hours prior to taking custody of the children.
They must ensure that any prospective childcare professionals hold valid Red Cross infant CPR training.
While the responsibilities for Federline end there, Judge Gordon tacked on an extra list of tasks for Spears. In order to maintain the current shared custody agreement, the popstar must:
Attend individual counseling to address parenting issues at least once a week.
Meet with a parenting coach for a minimum of 8 hours a week, in at least two sessions a week. The coach is to observe her interaction with kids and her parenting skills and then provide Federline with a written progress report by October 22.
And, “based on the evidence presented, the Court finds that there is a habitual, frequent, and continuous use of controlled substances by Petitioner [Spears],” will have to undergo testing for controlled substances and alcohol. The testing shall be conducted twice per week on random dates and times, and the results will be forwarded to the court.

First of all, you need to address Britney’s problem with alcohol and drug by figuring out why she started that habit in the first place. I can tell you one thing that the public hasn’t been too kind to her by complaining that she was too sexually risque for their young children. Christina Aguilera was for a time sexually risque when it came to her album Stripped, but she was left alone because her fans were mostly kids in their late teens and young adults. And about sexuality, preventing your children from seeing or hearing about it in the media does not prevent teen pregnancy. Sheltering your kids from sex in the media only makes them want to have sex more. I don’t know this for sure, but I think Britneys drug and alcohol addition might be caused by all the stress the public has been giving her. Come on, they were obsessed about her losing her virginity to her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake! I just wish people would stop viewing sex in it being worse than violence. The movie Young Adam with Ewan McGregor was rated NC-17 because Ewan showed his semi-erect penis in it, but Saving Private showed a person who was literally blown in half, yet the film was rated R, meaning kids could watch it in the movie theater with someone 21 years of age, while no one at all under the age of 17 can watch Young Adam in the treater, regardless of who’s with them. To conclude, people should stop critizing celebrities for things that are not important, then maybe they’ll be less likely to do drugs and committ crimes. I just pray that Britney gets better so she can be a good mother to her boys, have a good career, and have a much greater chance of living to old age instead of dying young like Anna Nicole Smith.
