Wearing Cartier jewelry and dressed in a black-sequined Chloe dress and Jimmy Choo high-heeled shoes Britney and her entourage of 27 had first dined in a private room at the Social House Asian themed restaurant in Treasure Island. She picked mini Kobe beef burgers, lobster curry salad and chicken fried rice before heading down to PURE.

From the moment she entered the nightclub fans and revelers went crazy with nonstop flashbulbs. “The energy was chart-topping for Britney, her group and the club” said one VIP guest “The ultimate New Years party.” Britney was drinking Dom Perignon champagne and singing along to all the songs that DJ Hollywood played on the turntables.

Poker star actress Shannon Elizabeth and Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe were in the neighboring VIP cabana bed and said hello with hugs and kisses to the pop-princess. Britney and her pals had “been on a rolling party” up to Vegas from Scottsdale, Arizona on a rented tour bus. At the weekend Britney had been spotted at the JackRabbit nightclub in Scottsdale with Paris Hilton’s former beau Matt Leinart and newspapers across America and Canada are hinting it could be the start of a new romance. However, for the record he was nowhere to be seen in Vegas!

When her hit song “I’m A Slave for You” was blasted over the sound system she went to the railing overlooking the dance floor and danced for the crowd. Then she began the first of her 2 countdowns. Inside the club she yelled “What happens in Vegas always stays in Vegas” and after the countdown she wished everybody a Happy New Year. Immediately she went up in the club’s elevator for the outdoor upper terrace to watch the fireworks exploding on 7 hotel rooftops, a display saluting 007 set to James Bond movie themes! Also celebrating with Britney were actor Marlan Williams, NBA legend Dr. J. Julius Irving and poker pro Chris Ferguson. Rocker Dave Navarro, who had hosted the countdown at sister club Tangerine in Treasure Island, also wound up on a VIP bed at PURE pre-dawn.

As 2007 officially began, Britney and her friends popped the cork on a massive $5,000 supersized bottle of Dom Perignon in front of a gigantic Happy New Year cake that was actually layered in Swarovski diamonds. Britney, with champagne in hand, led her friends in the open-air toast and then retreated downstairs back to her VIP cabana bed.

And it was there just 50-minutes into the New Year — at exactly 12:50AM — that she collapsed and was dramatically carried out of the club hidden under a hooded black poncho behind a screen of 12 burly bodyguard bouncers, as Luxe Life first reported at 2:30AM today.
