Britney pays off photographer

Britney Spears has settled a court case with a photographer who claimed she ran over his foot.

Ricardo Mendoza accused the singer of assault, battery and negligently driving her car in Beverly Hills in 2007. The incident happened on the same day Spears lost custody of her two sons.

Court records in Los Angeles show a settlement notice was filed on Monday (October 19). Details of the settlement have not been disclosed.

Mr Mendoza was working for Hollywood-based showbiz website TMZ at the time. The site auctioned his tyre-stained sock off to the singer’s fans and donated the proceeds to charity.
