Will Britney Spears take the “Circus” down under?. According to News.com.au, Britney has plans to take her tour to Australia.

“Leading concert promoters are in talks with the US singer, and tour dates are expected to be scheduled for later this year. ” “All the promoters are vying for it, but the bottom line is she really wants to come here and she really wants to come here this year,” Sony Australia boss Denis Handlin said.

Barry Weiss, head of JIVE Records, spoke to Handlin last week about the tour. “I think the promoters are battling it out at the moment,” he said.

Frontier Touring’s Michael Gudinski confirmed he was in talks with Britney’s management, stating there were several promoters after Britney and her possible Australian tour dates. “I don’t expect anything will be worked out or finalised for a month, but we’re in there.”

Britney Spears has reportedly turned down a $3 million autobiography deal, because she wants more money. Britney summoned publishing bosses to her California home shortly before she embarked on her Circus tour, to discuss a big money memoirs deal to share her life with fans.

But Spears rejected multi-million dollar offers from executives at publishing houses HarperCollins, Random House and Little Brown – because they were a lot less than she expected. According to insiders, Spears is seeking a figure closer to $8 million. A source tells Us Weekly, “She was hoping for much more money.”

Britney was spotted in Louisiana on Sunday afternoon spending time with her two sons Sean Preston & Jayden James, along with her tv agent Jason Trawick. According to Britney’s manager, Britney had two full-dress-rehearsals yesterday.

The “Circus” tour starts in 2 days in New Orleans. Despite previous reports claiming Britney was back in L.A., Britney is still Louisiana.

Britney Spears’ former boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, is facing assault charges. Ghalib allegedly struck a process server with his car outside his apartment on January 30th 2009. The server was attempting to deliver papers notifying him that Britney Spears’ father and lawyers were seeking a restraining order against him.

According to a news release, the process server clung to the hood of Ghalib’s car to avoid being pinned and broke his wrist. The 36-year-old paparazzo, who has not yet been arrested, also faces battery and hit-and-run charges.

Ghalib could not be contacted for comment as a current phone number for him could not be located. He did not appear for a Monday hearing on the restraining order.
