Custody hearing starts without Britney
Britney Spears failed to appear in court on Monday at the start of a hearing in her bitter child custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline under a crush of frenzied media coverage. The troubled pop star’s whereabouts were not immediately clear as the hearing began in a Los Angeles courtroom, with Federline in attendance and a throng of reporters forced to wait in a hallway. A source said that Britney has “no plans” to attend the court hearing. She had been “strongly advised” by her legal team to attend the hearing, adding that the singer was told that “her attendance is important.” Federline, his hair styled into a Mohawk, was ushered into court by his attorneys before the courtroom was closed and reporters asked to leave. More photographers waited outside the courthouse for any sign of Spears, 26, and news helicopters circled overhead. Earlier this month, a distraught Spears was taken to the hospital on a stretcher during a confrontation with Federline’s representatives over custody of their two young sons, prompting Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon to suspend her visitation rights and order the emergency hearing. Gordon was expected to hear testimony from police officers and others who were present for that incident before determining whether to restore Spears’ visitation rights.

she had to show she cared about seeing her kids and she didn’t. Now she has till April to get her act together. For her kids sake I hope she does.
Bull. Per TMC the girl shows up and tries to get out of the SUV and the media swarms her. She asks them to leave her alone and crys out she is scared and gets back into the SUV and leaves. Cut us a break, this custody thing is very very important to child, mom and dad and shame on the media and our court system for letting the leeches do this.
