Britney VMA Performance: Gimme More
Britney Spears was the talking point of the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA’s) as she made her first come back performance in several years. Britney’s VMA performance opened with a close-up of the back of her head, Britney stared into the camera with the opening lines to “Trouble,” made famous by the ultimate Las Vegas legend, Elvis: “If you’re lookin’ for trouble, you came to the right place/ If you’re lookin’ for trouble, look right in my face.”
The camera panned out to reveal Spears decked out in acres of bling, including a black, jewel-encrusted bra and hot pants, black boots and nothing else. Sashaying in and out of dancers in skin-tight leather, Spears sang her new song Gimme More, singing the new lyrics “Gimme, gimme more” as she literally stepped over the back of a male dancer and got intimate with another.
With images of chandeliers floating on the screen behind her mixed with silhouettes of women befitting the intro reel to a James Bond flick, Spears walked across the stage as her scantily clad dancers worked a series of stripper poles scattered throughout the room. Britney performed her new track

Just make a killer video or something and put the foot back into the mouths of ALL the over critical. Remember we ARE ALL human! To tell the truth, the performance was not that bad. The only reason it was criticized by many is that they are used to the old Britney in a much more energetic performance. I think that her critics have to realize that she is no longer a teenager, and besides she just came back so its only normal to be a bit shaky in the beginning. But in the end you will all see that Britney will make it back to the top again. Love the song by the way.

I think brittney sucked ass!! She usually delivers a BANGIN performance even if the song is wack! She need to get it togehter!! Yeah, she’s human, but she knew she was going to be on the VMAs..she should’ve worked that body and stage out a little more/better than she did!! I watched her rehersals and she did okay…but on stage, she must have been nervous or drunk, or high, or all of it, because it was fuckin HORRIBLE!!! And for having two kids, she DOES NOT look good!! i loved that performance. I reckon it was awesome. Britney has great moves!! Kayne West was just jealous when he said “i could of done better, my song “stronger” was made to perform”. I am so getting her CD. We all are rooting for her.

Britney’s performance did seem to lack some energy. But maybe she was going for the sexy slow dance. The song is great. I hope she can get clean in rehab and pull her life together. I’m rooting for her.
